The Design Process

Step one – On-site survey and discussion of your requirements

• Site survey and planning is one of the most important parts of the garden design process; it is important that we determine several important factors before we even consider starting the design.
• Initially we will discuss with you exactly what style of garden you want, what features you would like to include and what your budget is.
• We need to conduct a site survey to establish what type of soil you have, noting its quality and pH levels so that any planting schemes can be tailor-made to suit your soil. Any land drainage issues can also be identified at this stage.

Step two – The Garden design

• Even the most creatively designed garden can be spoilt with the wrong use of materials. We help you to choose materials which will suit your needs, taking into account aesthetics, practicality, maintenance and of course, your budget.
• Once we have surveyed your garden the design usually takes 4 – 5 days.
• Once we have designed your garden we will book an appointment and take you through our ideas, we like to come up with two – three different designs.

Step 3 – Managed Installation

• Once your garden has been designed to your specifications and budgetary requirements, you need to know that it will be implemented to the highest standard.
• Our installation teams consist of fully trained and experienced landscape gardeners who can turn their hands to all aspects of landscaping, from paving and planting to installing water features and decking areas. You can rest assured that we only employ the most skilled workers.
• In addition, we like to keep you involved all the way through the process; your project will be managed by Jonathan Mark from planning right through to implementation – any queries you may have can be directed to Jonathan who will be happy to discuss any concerns or additions to your project.

The Computer Aided Designs (CAD)

Garden design and implementation can be quite a daunting undertaking; we like to create your design in a matter of days after your consultation, as opposed to weeks like some design companies. We also provide you with 2 or 3 different designs, so you can ‘pick and mix’ the features that you like., our carefuly thought through questions that provide us with our brief is usually so concise and easy for us to follow making the design process very simple.
